Sometimes it is helpful to be able to set aside the current stressors in our life so we can attend to them later when we have more time and space to give them our focused attention. This exercise video helps create a way for you to temporarily contain anything that may be bothering you.
Containment is a therapy tool that emerged from Francine Shaprio's dedication to trauma therapy research. "Originally developed for treatment of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), this evidence-based approach is now also used to treat adults and children with complex trauma, anxiety disorders, depression, addictive behavior problems, and other clinical problems" (Guilford Press, 2021).
