The first in a series of 5 "Info Sheets' on anxiety, this is an informative tool that is intended to educate and describe the basics of anxiety in a clear, straightforward way. This info sheet can be used by individuals as young as 11 to 12 years old, to seniors. It is intended for anyone who wants to learn more about stress and anxiety.
This info sheet was written by a psychotherapist with years of experience working with people struggling with stress, anxiety, and/or trauma. It is informed by leading authorities in mental health, such as the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, the CDC, and the landmark "Childhood Adverse Experiences" study on the effects of early chronic stress on long-term health outcomes. This is a great way to become informed about anxiety, as it is the introduction to the rest of this series on Anxiety.
