This exercise is used as part of my coaching framework to help you identify themes and clues as you consider career options. Where you see themes is where you can bet there is gold to be mined. It’s always best if you can connect with a coach, friend, or accountability partner to help identify golden threads that you may be too close to see on your own. Then, pairing this information with strengths, values, behavioral style, functional skills, industries, and companies of interest, etc., you can begin to build your roadmap to a successful career pivot.
This visioning exercise is for you if:
- You are looking for meaning and purpose in your work
- Want to align who you are with what you do
- Want to use your strengths, skills, personality, and interestes to build a career you love
Visioning exercises are used in coaching to help the client create a compelling future they want to live into. Exercises like this are developed to help the client discover what that vision is so that they can then create meaningful action and align who they are being and how they are being with that desired future.
